Welcome to Mrs. Saathoff's Second Grade!

Hello parents and students!

I am so excited to be starting a new year with you all and I look forward to getting to know each and every one of you. I will be updating my website weekly along with this blog to keep everyone updated on events and progress.

This year students will be focusing on building our skills in math, reading, writing, science, and social studies. In science and math we will take what we learned in first grade and begin applying it to the real world. Furthermore, we will be practicing our reading skills to begin to develop better writing skills.

School supplies list:

Here are the supplies your students will be needing for the coming year:

• Colored pencils

• Pencils

• Glue sticks

• Pencil pouch

• Pencil sharpener (optional)

• Highlighters

• 12 inch ruler

• Tissues

• Sanitizer

• Loose-leaf paper/notebooks (preferably wide-ruled)

• Markers

• 2 folders

• Blunt-tip scissors
